I feel Greg DiGiorgio should be nominated Realtor of the Year! We tried to sell our condo last year with a different realtor and didn't even get one offer, after several months of open houses and personal viewing. We had found a new home we loved and could not move until we sold our condo. We were so disappointed. I met Greg at an open house, he left such a good impression we used him to sell our condo this past summer, and helped us to find our dream home at the same time. He actually sold our condo at the First open house, and we got asking price at that! Other realtors had said we would never get that much. He knows the market, people, and how to sell. His skill with photography and video for our listing was amazing, and I think it's due to that we sold so quickly. While doing this and helping other clients he took us out looking for a new home until we found what we wanted. He made a very stressful time transition seamlessly. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a realtor. His high energy, motivation and dedication is unparallel to any realtor I have met. We moved to Boston from over 2000 miles away, not knowing anyone but Greg. We didn't know which suburbs would work for our commutes, where we would fit in, or what to expect for house prices. In one epic week-long visit, Greg showed us six distinct areas of the greater Boston area - from Natick to Malden to West Roxbury and back. We found a house we love on a street that has welcomed us in like family. We're a short walk from our daughter's preschool and 125 steps to a great park. In short, Greg found us a home. Since we were coming from so far away, we had to do a closing in absentia. Greg took care of all of the little details: inspection, repairs, closing, you name it, all without us being in the same time zone. We literally could not have made this move if we hadn't been INCREDIBLY lucky enough to find a realtor who puts "full-service" into practice. Greg was great. Before my husband and I met Greg, we thought we could find a home without a buyer's agent. We actually looked on our own for a year. But whenever we found a place we liked, by the time we would ask to see it, it would already be off the market! (Housing slump? What slump? Not around these parts, people!) I was getting depressed. Then we had a meeting with Greg, and within weeks of working with him, we closed on a house. Greg's a good guy and a hard worker. It was nice working with someone close to our age (30-35). Greg was always plugged in, and he responded to emails and phone calls immediately. (I mean, IMMEDIATELY. In a flash.) Greg was no nonsense and high energy. He also seemed to know a lot about construction and home improvement and was always able to point out the pros and cons of each place we visited. We would recommend Greg as a Realtor, hands down, without a question. My partner and I had been looking to buy a house for 8 months with another Realtor before we found Greg. We looked and looked, every weekend, but could not find anything to meet our price, comfort and wants. We then met with Greg, and three weeks later we had found the house we had been searching for. Greg went to bat for us, talked to the owners of the house we wanted to buy and came up with an agreement that met both of our needs. He never pressured us or made us feel like we had to make any decision sooner than we were ready to. We recommend Greg to ANYONE looking to buy a house or condo. He listened to what we wanted, stayed true to our price range and always helped answer questions when we were unsure. Greg has amazing energy. He is always connected and extremely responsive. He understands your requirements and doesn't waste your time by showing you houses you will not like. Greg DiGiorgio is a dedicated and trustworthy real estate agent. I made my first real estate purchase in November 2007, a 2-bedroom condo in the South End. The process would have been a nightmare without Greg. The Greater Boston real estate market is mired by unprofessionalism and dishonesty. A first time buyer in Boston needs someone who knows the ropes and can be relied upon. Greg offers both these attributes. Over the course of two months, Greg and I visited 30+ condos. His patience was unwavering throughout this time. Greg treated each visit with the expectation I was walking into my next home...grilling selling brokers on every detail while making sure I was taking key criteria under consideration. I had a trusted advisor in Greg. Equally as noteworthy is Greg's focus on client service. The man is not afraid of leg-work and dedicates tremendous time and resources to his clients. For example, Greg spent an entire afternoon on my behalf at some State bureau to determine the scope of approvals I would need to build a roof deck on a prospective unit I was considering. Despite the fact that Greg had come highly recommended to me through a friend, I was a little nervous and unsure of what was going to transpire. When I bought my home 22 years ago, I was young and naive. I may be older now but I am still no expert in the field of real estate. I was in the market for a condominium for my daughter. I needed a place where she not only would be safe, but also would not have to deal with high maintenance and/or endless repair. Greg understood immediately. Not only did Greg help me to get the most for my condo, he also helped me find, negotiate and buy the perfect city condo I had been looking for - even when it was outside of his home territory. Purchasing a home seemed like a scary process, especially for a first time buyer! I expected the process to be stressful and intimidating.
